Yahoo! Sports’ Kelly Iko reports that the Grizzlies are expected to waive Eric Gordon.
Acquired from the 76ers along with a 2032 second-round pick to help Philadelphia avoid the luxury tax, Gordon was unlikely to play rotation minutes in Memphis. His release will allow the veteran guard to find another team after he clears waivers, likely joining one with postseason ambitions. With their moves at the deadline, the Grizzlies are clearly rebuilding.
  • MEM Guard #23
ESPN’s Shams Charania reports the 76ers are trading Eric Gordon and a 2032 second-round pick to the Grizzlies.
This move was likely for Philadelphia to convert Dominick Barlow to a standard deal, though Memphis will add some draft capital in the process. Gordon is certainly a buyout candidate, and if he sticks around in Memphis, he won’t be part of the rotation.
  • PHI Guard #5
Quentin Grimes (ankle) has been ruled out against the Bucks on Tuesday.
Grimes was a late addition to the injury report and has now officially been ruled out against Milwaukee. Justin Edwards and Eric Gordon should be in line to take on extra minutes, though neither has enough upside to consider streaming in.

Quentin Grimes (ankle) is questionable for Tuesday’s matchup with the Bucks.
Grimes is a late addition to the injury report with a right ankle sprain, which doesn’t bode well for his availability. The severity of the injury is unknown, but it’s possible Philadelphia is taking a cautious approach on the second leg of a back-to-back set. Justin Edwards and Eric Gordon may see a few extra minutes if Grimes sits out, but neither are appealing fantasy streaming options.
  • PHI Guard #5
Quentin Grimes (illness) is probable to play against the Bulls on Friday.
Grimes is expected to suit up after missing Tuesday’s game against Brooklyn. Justin Edwards and Eric Gordon took on larger roles with Grimes unavailable, but they’ll both likely be pushed back out of the rotation with Grimes expected back.
  • PHI Guard #5
Quentin Grimes (illness) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Bulls.
Grimes did not play in Tuesday’s loss to the Nets, resulting in more rotation minutes for fellow reserves Justin Edwards and Eric Gordon. While Edwards may remain in the rotation if Grimes plays, Gordon could fall out entirely.
  • PHI Guard #77
VJ Edgecombe (illness) is out for Tuesday’s game against the Nets.
The 76ers will be without two rotation guards, as Edgecombe and Grimes are out due to illness. Jared McCain and Justin Edwards should see increases in playing time, and Eric Gordon may sneak into the rotation.
  • PHI Guard #5
Quentin Grimes (illness) is questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Nets.
Grimes has been a key reserve for the 76ers this season, and losing him would significantly impact the bench unit. There may be additional minutes available to someone like Eric Gordon, but there’s nothing to gain from streaming him.
  • PHI Guard #5
Quentin Grimes (calf) is questionable for Thursday’s game against the Warriors.
Grimes did not play in Tuesday’s win over the Wizards. His absence led to Justin Edwards picking up additional minutes off the bench and Eric Gordon entering the rotation. That may remain the case on Thursday if Grimes remains out, but only Edwards would be worth a look in deep leagues.
  • PHI Forward #8
According to Sixers reporter Noah Levick, Paul George (ankle) and VJ Edgecombe (calf) went through Wednesday’s practice.
It’s an encouraging update for the Sixers who are also without Trendon Watford (adductor) and Kelly Oubre (knee) for at least the next two weeks. Joel Embiid (knee) has been out for the last eight games, so Philly is sorely shorthanded right now. If George and Edgecombe are forced to sit out Friday’s matchup with the Nets, Quentin Grimes, Justin Edwards, Eric Gordon and Dominick Barlow will pick up the slack by committee.
