Jahmir Young produced 27 points (8-of-23 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), one rebound, six assists, three steals, one block and three three-pointers in Saturday’s loss to the Heat.

Like backcourt partner Trevor Keels, Young is playing for the Heat as an unrestricted free agent after the team declined to tender a qualifying offer. While he didn’t have his best day shooting, Young put up 27 points and added six assists in Saturday’s defeat. After appearing in 14 games for the Heat last season, he’s looking to solidify his spot in the NBA, either on a two-way or a standard contract. Performances like Saturday’s should help Young’s cause.

Jahmir Young recorded 19 points (8-of-15 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), two rebounds, seven assists, two steals and two three-pointers in Friday’s rout of the Bucks.

Miami’s opener in Las Vegas went as well as they could have imagined, with the Heat rolling to an 119-86 victory. Young was one of seven Heat players in double figures and led the team in assists. On a two-way contract last season, he’s playing this summer as an unrestricted free agent, so games like Friday are crucial for Young as he looks to solidify his status in the NBA.

Jahmir Young totaled 21 points (8-of-13 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), three rebounds, four assists, three steals and three three-pointers in the win over the Spurs.

Young was one of two Miami guards to reach the 20-point mark on Friday. He did so efficiently by converting more than half of his shot attempts and tying a team-high in three-pointers. He also made strong contributions as a passer in this game. Young has been with the Heat organization for one season, so his familiarity with the system should help him remain productive during the NBA Summer League. Given that he never played more than 10 minutes in any of his 14 appearances with the Heat last season, it’s unlikely he’ll have much fantasy relevance during the 2026-27 season.

HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto reports the Bulls signed Jahmir Young to a two-way contract.

Not selected in the 2024 draft after concluding his college career at Maryland, Young has earned increased security at the NBA level. The point guard averaged 22.4 points and 7.3 assists per game for the Grand Rapids Gold in the NBA G League. While there may be opportunities to show what he can do, especially if Chicago decides to rest its more established guards, Young’s signing is unlikely to impact fantasy basketball.
