ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that Jonathan Kuminga has demanded a trade away from the Warriors.
Kuminga’s relationship with the Warriors seemed to sour over the summer and only got worse when Warriors coach Steve Kerr benched the 23-year-old after the first 12 games of the season. Kuminga hasn’t played in the last 13 games despite having a two-year, $46.8 million contract. Part of that contract is a $24.3 million team option for next season, which could factor into his trade market, but the wing is finally eligible to be traded on Thursday, so a deal might come together quickly.

Jonathan Kuminga (back) is available for Saturday’s game against the Jazz.
Kuminga, a late scratch for Friday’s loss to the Thunder, is available to play on Saturday. However, there’s no guarantee that he actually sees action, as the forward has not been in the rotation recently. Don’t slot Kuminga into your lineups.

Jonathan Kuminga (back) is questionable for Saturday’s game against the Jazz.
Kuminga was a late addition to the Warriors’ injury report ahead of Friday’s loss to the Thunder, missing out on a likely increase to his usage with Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler sidelined. Even if Kuminga is available on Saturday, his situation feels like a countdown to January 15, when he would be eligible to be traded after agreeing to a two-year deal just before the start of the season.
  • GSW Forward #1
Jonathan Kuminga (back) is out for Friday’s game against the Thunder.
Not long after he was added to the Warriors’ injury report, Kuminga has been ruled out. His absence does not affect fantasy basketball, as he hasn’t been in the rotation.

Jonathan Kuminga (back) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Thunder.
Absent from the Warriors’ initial injury report, Kuminga is now questionable. His potential absence would not affect fantasy basketball, as Kuminga has not been a consistent member of the rotation.

Jonathan Kuminga (illness) is not on the injury report for Monday’s game against the Magic.
Kuminga did not play in Saturday’s win over the Suns. Not long after it was reported that he’s expected to play on Monday, the forward’s name was officially removed from the injury report. Unless Kuminga can lock down a consistent role, there’s no reason to roster him in most fantasy leagues.

Jonathan Kuminga (illness) was back at the Warriors’ film session on Sunday, and Steve Kerr expects him to play on Monday against the Magic.
Kuminga was a late addition to Golden State’s injury report on Saturday before ultimately being ruled out. Because of his recently diminished role, his availability won’t have much impact in the realm of fantasy hoops.

Jonathan Kuminga (illness) is out for Saturday’s game against the Suns.
A few hours after being added to the Warriors’ injury report, Kuminga will not play against the Suns. His minutes decreased significantly over the last month, and his absence will not affect fantasy basketball.

Jonathan Kuminga (illness) is questionable to play against the Suns on Saturday.
Kuminga didn’t make the initial injury report, but there is now a chance he isn’t available to suit up. He had been out of the rotation for a few games, but Steve Kerr played him about 10 minutes in the Warriors’ last outing. In other words, Kuminga’s status won’t impact Golden State’s rotation.
  • GSW Guard #7
Pat Spencer, Buddy Hield, Will Richard, Jimmy Butler and Quinten Post will start Sunday’s game against the Bulls.
The Warriors have made just one change to the lineup that began Saturday’s win over the Cavaliers. With Butler available, Jonathan Kuminga heads to the bench. While he should still play plenty, Kuminga’s fantasy ceiling is lowered with the move to the second unit.
