Jonathan Mogbo amassed two points (1-of-7 FGs), six rebounds and two assists in 27 minutes in Monday’s loss to the Suns.
Monday’s game was Mogbo’s first since March 4, when he suffered a back contusion. The rookie did not offer much production in his 27 minutes, but there will be more opportunities for him to start before the season ends. Whether or not he can do enough to merit being rostered in deep leagues during the “silly season” remains to be seen, but there’s no need to add Mogbo right now.

Jonathan Mogbo (back contusion) finished Sunday’s 84-81 win over Denver with five points (2-of-4 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), one rebound, one assist, and one blocked shot in nine minutes.
Mogbo fell hard on his back after being inadvertently undercut by teammate Ulrich Chomche late in the third quarter of Sunday’s game. Gingerly walking back to the locker room to be evaluated, the rookie joined Gradey Dick as Raptors forced to exit Sunday’s game prematurely due to injury. No decision has been made regarding Mogbo’s availability for the remainder of Summer League.

Jonathan Mogbo accounted for two points (1-of-1 FGs), six rebounds, three assists, and one steal in 16 minutes in Saturday’s win over the Thunder.
The 31st overall pick in last month’s draft, Mogbo did not offer much production as a scorer in his summer league debut. However, he was effective as a rebounder and passer, which is unsurprising given how well he played during his final college season at San Francisco. Mogbo’s versatility will give him the best chance of cracking the rotation as a rookie as the Raptors continue to move on from Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby.

The Raptors selected Jonathan Mogbo with the No. 31 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.
Mogbo spent two seasons playing JUCO ball before spending his junior season at Missouri State and his senior season at San Francisco. The forward broke out with San Fran, averaging 14.2 points, 10.1 boards, 3.6 dimes, 1.6 steals, and 0.8 blocks while shooting 63.6% from the floor. Thanks to those substantial numbers, he earned WCC All-Conference First Team honors as a senior. Toronto is in a position where it needs talent, especially on the wing, due to the in-season trades of Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby. Mogbo is versatile enough to be impactful if he can crack the rotation.
