The Nuggets have waived Jorge Gutierrez and Elijah Millsap.
No fantasy impact here, as both players were longshots to make the Nuggets final 15-man roster.

P.J. Hairston recently had a workout with the Nets.
Hairston may be able to turn this workout into a camp invite, but even if he does make the regular-season roster, his fantasy value would be more or less non-existent in Brooklyn. The Nets also reportedly brought in Jorge Gutierrez and Kendal Marshall for workouts, although with five point guards already on the roster going into camp, it would be surprising to see those guys earn a camp invite.

The Nets signed Jorge Gutierrez to a camp deal.
He’s bounced around the league and played 12 games with the Hornets last season. Gutierrez was also with the Nets back in 2013-14 and 2014-15. With the Nets likely to struggle and already talking up their young guards, Gutierrez is not likely to play much next season. He is also not a lock to make the team.

    Nets waive G Jorge Gutierrez.
Gutierrez played three preseason games and averaged 3.7 points and 2.0 assists in 9.3 minutes per game before being cut. The 27-year-old can be ignored in all fantasy leagues.

Nets guard Jorge Gutierrez didn’t return to Sunday’s Summer League game after bruising his ribs in the first quarter.
He was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation, and even if X-rays are negative he seems unlikely to play Monday vs. the Thunder. In the Nets’ first Summer League game, Gutierrez posted eight points, two rebounds and three assists in 16 minutes off the bench.

The Nets are reportedly close to signing a deal with Jorge Gutierrez, according to Marc Stein of ESPN.
Gutierrez has been playing with the Canton Charge of the D-League and will reportedly join the Nets on a 10-day deal. The Nets have some familiarity with Gutierrez since he was with them during training camp, but he won’t see the court enough for fantasy owners to go making any moves once this signing becomes official.

Jorge Gutierrez has signed a multi-year deal with the Nets.
Gutierrez had reached the conclusion of his second 10-day deal and the Nets deemed the rookie important enough to lock down for the near future. Despite the Nets’ desire to keep Gutierrez in the fold, fantasy owners can do a lot better than a player who has seen the court for all of five minutes this season.

Marcus Thorton (back) is questionable for Tuesday’s game against Houston.
Thornton was not present at the portion of practice that was available to media members Tuesday morning, so the prevailing thought is that he won’t be available for Tuesday’s game against the Rockets. We’ll update his status as more news becomes available, but Shaun Livingston should make for a strong play if Thornton doesn’t suit up Tuesday night while Alan Anderson and Jorge Gutierrez would see some extra run as well.

Deron Williams (knee) will not play on Friday vs. the Hawks due to right patella tendinitis.
Coach Jason Kidd said this is just about rest for Deron and his knee injury doesn’t appear serious. Kidd said he’s going to rest his players down the stretch and this will be Williams’ first DNP since Jan. 16. He should be considered questionable on Sunday. Jorge Gutierrez starts tonight and may get some serious run with Shaun Livingston (foot) also out.

Jorge Gutierrez will start in place of Deron Williams (knee) on Friday vs. the Hawks.
He’s not having a great season so far with the Nets and has yet to make a 3-pointer on seven tries. Although, the Nets are missing their top two options at point guard tonight, so he figures to get at least 28 minutes. If you’re fishing for some desperation point guard production, Gutierrez could be your guy.
