    Real Madrid signed Max Shulga.

The 57th overall pick in the 2025 draft, Shulga is headed overseas after one season with the Celtics organization. The 6-foot-5 guard saw most of his time in the G League, making just 11 appearances for Boston as a rookie. Shulga has agreed to a two-year deal with Real Madrid.

Derrick White (knee) and Neemias Queta (toe) are out for Sunday’s game against the Magic.

The Celtics have already ruled out four of their five starters for Sunday’s regular-season finale, as the outcome will not impact their playoff seeding. White’s absence should free up additional minutes for Ron Harper Jr. and Max Shulga. As for Queta, there will be more playing time available for Luka Garza, and Amari Williams could get rotation minutes as well.

Celtics selected Max Shulga with the No. 57 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.

The Magic officially selected the versatile Shulga, but the pick is headed to Boston via trade. According to ESPN’s Jonathan Givony, the former VCU standout will be on a two-way contract. The good news for Shulga is that Boston’s G League program has been a positive asset, which should help his development. He’s a versatile guard who can play on or off the ball offensively and earned Atlantic 10 Player of the Year honors as a senior.
