Blake Griffin rose for a dunk, collided with Dwight Howard and then hit the floor.
It looked like a possible flagrant foul on Howard, and the Rockets center – who already had a technical foul in the first quarter – argued Griffin grabbed him.
Officials reviewed the play.
TNT’s Tracy Wolfson on the telecast:During that review, it was interesting. Chris Paul was down there trying to get the refs’ attention. He wanted to tell them not to throw Dwight Howard out, because he said wants him to play.
That’s what he continued to tell his teammates. He said, “Tell the ref. Tell the refs. We want him to play. You can’t throw him out.”
The Clippers’ confidence is at a million.
It was ruled just a personal foul on Howard, and the Clippers rolled to another win.
Unfortunately for Paul, he couldn’t keep Howard in the game forever.
