Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, who played the president in Sharknado 3, is clearly looking for a real-life president who’d make his fictional tenure look less ridiculous by comparison.

Enter Donald Trump.

Eli Langer of CNBC:

Cuban took to his Cyber Dust messaging app this week to congratulate Trump, referring to the Republican presidential candidate as “probably the best thing to happen to politics in a long, long time.”

“I don’t care what his actual positions are,” Cuban wrote. “I don’t care if he says the wrong thing. He says what’s on his mind. He gives honest answers rather than prepared answers. This is more important than anything any candidate has done in years.”

I agree with Cuban. If you want someone who says the wrong things and doesn’t research his positions, Trump is a strong candidate.

Trump, of course, ate up the praise from his fellow billionaire.

This reminds me of a comment Cuban made a few years ago: "“I like Donald. He plays by his own rules.”

That Donald, though, was not Trump.

It was Sterling.
