Tiago Splitter underwent season-ending hip surgery in February, and the injury kept him from playing for Brazil in the Olympics.
But the Hawks center says he’ll be healthy by training camp.
Chris Vivlamore of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution:
Spoke to Tiago Splitter from Rio. He still plans to be ready for start of training camp after hip surgery. Will post story tomorrow.

Splitter didn’t have time to make much of an impact last season, when Atlanta acquired him to serve as a change-of-pace to Al Horford at center. With the bigger and strong Dwight Howard now at center, Splitter is more redundant.
Splitter can still contribute off the bench – if he’s moving well enough. At age 31 and coming off such a major injury, that’s in question.
