Josh Smith was removed from his new team’s starting lineup in advance of Saturday’s contest against the Heat, presumably because his 9-of-31 shooting in four games as a Rockets starter wasn’t exactly producing the desired results.
But against a Miami team that ranks just 26th in defensive efficiency on the season, a reserve role for Smith proved to be just fine.
The athletic big man feasted on the Heat’s reserves, and finished with 12 points on 6-of-9 shooting in 28 minutes of action -- which included this vicious (yet uncontested) highlight-reel slam.
