Chandler Parsons is one of the NBA’s master recruiter, and now he’s going to have at least one superstar recruiting him. Parsons wants a max deal and it seems like he isn’t going to get that in Dallas, so he’s looking elsewhere. The Cleveland Plain Dealer‘s Chris Haynes is reporting that the Portland Trail Blazers are going to make a hard push for Parsons, and Damian Lillard will be involved in their meeting.

If Parsons stays healthy, he’s a good fit as a wing scorer in Portland. He has history with Lillard — he was the one guarding him when he made the series-winning three-pointer against the Rockets in the first round in 2014. If he joins the Blazers, he won’t have to be on the receiving end of any more of Lillard’s heroics. But Portland is one of just many suitors he’ll have, and he’s not expected to make a decision right away.
