Arsalan Kazemi has been bouncing around this fall. He had been on the Sixers roster, but they released him so he could go try to make the Hawks roster.
Now the Hawks have waived Kazemi, who played his college ball at Rice and Oregon, and the Rockets’ have picked up the Iranian, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.
The Rockets claimed Iranian forward Arsalan Kazemi off waivers, league source tells Yahoo Sports. He had been on Atlanta roster.

Kazemi was drafted late in the second round in 2013, and analytics guys have always liked his potential — he’s strong on the boards and has the potential to round out his game. That said he’s never stuck here and spent last season playing in China.
The Rockets are looking mostly for training camp depth. Donatas Motiejunas has still not returned from back surgery, both Terrence Jones and Montrezl Harrell have missed time with injuries.
The Rockets have 14 guaranteed contracts and they likely will fill the 15th spot with a big man for depth reasons to start the season. That leaves Kazemi fighting for that slot with Josh Smith, Jeremy Tyler, and Chris Walker.
