Patrick Patterson has signed a training camp deal with the Trail Blazers.
Perhaps Patterson will be able to serve as an emergency depth guy next season, but he’s safe to ignore in fantasy hoops.

  • IND Center #40
Ivica Zubac (right knee) will not suit up for Game 5 vs. the Suns on Monday.
This is a tough blow for the Clippers, who are facing elimination, so they’ll need guys like Marcus Morris, DeMarcus Cousins and Patrick Patterson to step up in a big way tonight, with Nicolas Batum also likely spending some time at center. Deandre Ayton could be headed for a big game tonight as the Suns look to send the Clippers back to L.A. for good.

  • Point Guard #21
Patrick Beverley, Reggie Jackson, Luke Kennard, Patrick Patterson and Ivica Zubac will start vs. the Thunder on Sunday.
Beverley and Jackson return from a rest day, which will send Rajon Rondo and Jay Scrubb back to the second unit, and Patterson will replace Marcus Morris as a starter, with Morris taking the night off. The Clippers won’t have Kawhi Leonard or Paul George either tonight, so Kennard should see a ton of shots falling his way.

  • POR Power Forward #54
Patrick Patterson will make the start for Marcus Morris (rest) on Friday vs. the Rockets.
Morris was a late scratch but they probably don’t need him against the lowly Rockets, so this is just a maintenance day for the 31-year-old. Patterson was scoreless in his last start, but got hot for 18 points in just 11 minutes off the bench a week ago, so we’ll see how he fares tonight. He’s a risky punt play for DFS and should remain on the wire in season-long leagues.

  • FA Power Forward #24
Marcus Morris will rest on Friday but should return vs. the Pelicans on Monday.
Morris is a late scratch and occasional DNPs are just part of the deal for L.A.'s veterans in the final weeks of the season. Patrick Patterson gets the start in place of Morris tonight but offers negligible fantasy upside even as a fill-in starter.

  • POR Power Forward #54
Patrick Patterson failed to score in a start for Marcus Morris in Wednesday’s win, contributing just two boards and two turnovers in 17 minutes.
We didn’t have incredibly high hopes for Patterson given his history as a starter, but he still fell far below any expectations against the lowly Pistons. Morris was simply resting tonight and should be back for Friday’s game against the 76ers, pushing Patterson back to the bench and even further solidifying Patterson’s spot on your league’s waiver wire.

  • POR Power Forward #54
Patrick Patterson got hot in 11 minutes on Friday, scoring a season-high 18 points on 6-of-8 shooting with five 3-pointers, one steal and one block.
The playing time says it all and this was Patterson’s first double-digit scoring game since Jan. 31. Ironically, it also comes one game after he made a fill-in start but failed to score and grabbed only two rebounds. Don’t chase this random outburst for fantasy value.

  • POR Power Forward #54
Patrick Patterson will get the start in Sunday’s contest against the Pistons.
The Clippers are without most of their key guys tonight, so Patterson will get his third starting nod of the season. He’s averaging just 10 points per game with not much else in his two starts, and there are sure to be far better cheap DFS options on a very busy Wednesday night.

  • POR Power Forward #54
Patrick Patterson accounted for six points (3-of-5 FGs), five rebounds and four assists in 19 minutes during Tuesday’s win over the Pacers.
Patterson has re-entered the rotation due to Serge Ibaka’s extended absence due to a back injury, but he hasn’t taken advantage as far as fantasy basketball is concerned. Deep league managers in need of frontcourt help don’t need to spend any time debating whether or not they should grab Patterson off of the waiver wire.

  • POR Power Forward #54
Patrick Patterson (personal reasons) will not be available for Thursday’s game against the Wizards.
Patterson, who will be away from the Clippers for the fourth straight game, didn’t offer anything in the way of fantasy value when available.
