The Lakers have tried working out a sign-and-trade deal with Horry, but it’s unlikely anything will get done before Horry becomes a free agent at midnight tonight. The Lakers will attempt to bring Horry back at a lesser salary, but the forward might be able to find a better deal elsewhere.

Horry is taking minutes away from Mark Madsen at power forward. Samaki Walker has played almost all of his minutes at center for the last five weeks.

Only Hall of Fame center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar played more playoff games, clocking in at 237.

Horry would back up Tim Duncan and Bruce Bowen for San Antonio.

Horry had 11 points, three rebounds and a blocked shot against the Nuggets last night. While it’s nothing to get excited about, he could end up being a nice source of threes in deep leagues.

Tony Massenburg played just eight minutes and Malik Rose was a DNP-CD. Rasho Nesterovic isn’t expected to miss much more time, so Horry isn’t an option in fantasy leagues.

Don’t get too excited, but he could help owners in the deepest of leagues.
