Ryan Boatright will play in China for the Foshan Lions.
He had himself a rough Summer League, making just 23.1 percent from the field for the Pelicans. Boatright is only 5'11", so it won’t be easy for him to make the NBA.

The Brooklyn Nets signed undrafted free agent guard Ryan Boatright to a contract on Saturday according to Shams Charania of Real GM.
Boatright played four seasons at UConn and put up averages of 17.4 points, 4.1 boards, 3.8 assists, 1.4 steals and 2.5 3-pointers during his senior year. Boatright is just shy of six feet tall, so he will have his work cut out for him at the next level. He isn’t on the fantasy radar yet, but we will watch him closely at summer league.

Nets guard Ryan Boatright had another impressive showing on Tuesday, scoring a game-high 21 points (4-of-9 FGs, 11-of-12 FTs) with two 3-pointers, two assists and one steal.
Boatright went undrafted this summer, but the undersized guard has great athleticism and shooting range, having made 41.0 percent of his 3-pointers last season. “I’ve scored all my career,” Boatright said last week. “I think teams know I can score.” Brooklyn inked him to a deal after the draft but it remains to be seen if he’ll make the regular-season roster.

Ryan Boatright suffered a shoulder stinger on Wednesday and will not return.
He was in some pain, but he was able to shoot the free throws after the injury. Boatright has been solid in Vegas this week, but he’s still a longshot for minutes due to his smaller size even with Deron Wililams in Dallas.

Ryan Boatright led all scorers with 23 points on Sunday, hitting 7-of-14 shots with five 3-pointers, three rebounds and two steals.
The undrafted guard did his damage in only 25 minutes, increasing his odds of sticking around with the Nets once Summer League concludes. We’ll let you know if and when he merits attention in fantasy leagues.

Ryan Boatright is impressing the Nets coaching staff.
Boatright, who was undrafted, has certainly left an impression since signing a two-year contract worth less than $1.5 million total. Boatright has a $75,000 guarantee if he’s on the roster beyond August 1, but the Nets would be foolish not to bring him to training camp after he made 43.6 percent of his three-pointers in both the Orlando and Las Vegas summer leagues.

Lionel Hollins said on Thursday that there are no guarantees that Jarrett Jack will be Brooklyn’s starting point guard.
It would be strange if Jack fails to beat out Shane Larkin, Ryan Boatright and Donald Sloan for the starting point guard position in Brooklyn, but none-the-less, we’ll be monitoring the position battle over the course of training camp and preseason. We still feel like Jack will prove to be victorious in this position battle, and he figures to make for a decent late-round selection after averaging 15.9 points, 6.6 assists, 3.8 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 3.3 turnovers through 27 starts last season.

Ryan Boatright is hopeful that the Nets will keep him on the roster for the 2015-16 season.
Boatright signed a two-year, $1.4 million deal with the Nets this summer, but it’s not a lock that he will stick around in Brooklyn because his contract is only partially guaranteed. “I haven’t gotten a ‘for sure,’ but they have been making the moves to tell you that I am here,” Boatright said. “But I am going to continue to work, and continue forward and do what I’ve got to do until I get that guarantee.” He averaged 14.3 points in the Las Vegas Summer League and connected on 47.8 percent of his 3-pointers, and it sounds like he has a solid shot of remaining with the Nets considering only Jarrett Jack and Shane Larkin are ahead of him on the depth chart.

    Nets sign G Donald Sloan.
No official terms on the deal just yet, but it’s almost certainly a training camp type of deal. Considering the Nets have just Jarrett Jack, Shane Larkin and the undrafted Ryan Boatright on their point guard depth chart, Sloan actually has a good chance to stick. Of the interesting quartet, Jack is easily the one with the most fantasy appeal. As a starter last season, Jack averaged 15.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 1.2 steals (3.3 turnovers) on 45.8 percent shooting.

    Pistons sign G Ryan Boatright.
He’s electric at times, but Boatright is undersized and that’s why the Nets cut him this week. He’ll be headed to the D-League.
