    Coming in for the injured Mike Clevinger (back), Neil Ramirez struck out three over 1 1/3 scoreless innings in Sunday’s win over the Blue Jays.
    Clevinger was dealing with 10 strikeouts through five innings, but was lifted early with back discomfort, forcing Ramirez into emergency relief action. He performed very well on short notice, not allowing either a hit or a walk while picking up his three strikeouts. After allowing four runs in his first two appearances, Ramirez has pitched scoreless ball each of the last two times he has trotted out to the mound.
