Colts receiver Aaron Moorehead believes he seperated his shoulder during Saturday’s preseason game.
Moorehead enjoyed a big game, including a memorable behind-the-back catch on a long TD strike. The Colts will get results of an MRI back today. He’s currently the No. 4 receiver in Indy.
  • PHI Wide Receiver
Aaron Moorehead will get a chance to be Indy’s No. 3 receiver this weekend.
Both Brandon Stokley (shoulder) and Troy Walters (hamstring) are out.
  • PHI Wide Receiver
Eagles hired Aaron Moorehead as WR coach.
Moorehead played WR for the Colts from 2003-2007, posting a career-long receiving line of 31-330-1. He’s spent the last five years as a receivers coach at the college level. The Eagles aren’t specifically naming an offensive coordinator, so Moorehead could feasibly be very involved in play-calling.
  • PHI Wide Receiver
Vanderbilt WRs coach Aaron Moorehead has emerged as a candidate for the same position in Philadelphia.
A five-year NFL veteran, Moorehead has worked as a receivers coach at the college level since 2013. Philadelphia is seeking a replacement for Carson Walch, who was let go shortly after the team’s playoff loss to Seattle. The Eagles have also expressed interest in Jim Caldwell, who served as an assistant coach when Moorehead played in Indianapolis, for their offensive coordinator vacancy.
  • PHI Wide Receiver
Colts WR Aaron Moorehead will miss the next two months after undergoing back surgery this week.
Indianapolis is rather thin at receiver after their first three receivers. This timetable would make Moorehead, mostly a special teamer, questionable for camp.
  • PHI Wide Receiver
Colts No. 4 receiver Aaron Moorehead has recovered from his ankle injury and is probable for this weekend’s game.
He has no fantasy value until Brandon Stokley gets hurt.
  • PHI Wide Receiver
Colts No. 4 receiver Aaron Moorehead will miss this weekend’s preseason game with a shoulder injury.
Moorehead was having a very strong camp, but there just isn’t room for production in the Indianapolis offense.
  • IND Wide Receiver
The Colts have ruled out Marvin Harrison (knee) and Freddie Keiaho (post-concussion syndrome) for Sunday’s game against Carolina.
Aaron Moorehead and Anthony Gonzalez will see more reps at wideout at Harrison’s flanker spot, but it’s uncertain who will start the game. Gonzalez would be the better WR3 play. Dallas Clark will also likely be more involved in the passing game. Tyjuan Hagler will probably kick from the strong side to play in Keiaho’s place, with Rocky Boiman taking Hagler’s usual spot.
  • IND Wide Receiver
The Indianapolis Star reports the Colts will likely err on the side of caution this week regarding “questionable” players Marvin Harrison (knee strain), Bob Sanders (ribs), and Joseph Addai (shoulder/chest).
The 4-0 Colts may be looking at their upcoming bye in Week 6 as a means to get their best players healthy. “If they feel good mentally, (they) will go,” coach Tony Dungy said after practice Friday. “But the other guys have practiced all week and if there’s any doubt, we’ll go with the guys who have practiced.”
  • IND Wide Receiver
Marvin Harrison (knee) sat out his third straight practice Friday.
Harrison could participate in the Colts’ walkthrough Saturday and be cleared, but for now his chances of facing the Bucs seem less than 50-50. Aaron Moorehead is expected to start if Harrison sits out the game.
