NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports that the Raiders are expected to hire Seahawks QB coach Andrew Janocko as their new offensive coordinator.
Pelissero adds that Janocko is in Las Vegas right now and a deal “should get done as soon as today.” This hiring makes sense. Janocko is close with new Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak, having served as quarterbacks coach with the Vikings, Saints and Seahawks while Kubiak was simultaneously employed as each team’s offensive coordinator. Kubiak will continue calling plays offensively, though this is still a step up for Janocko.

Raiders will interview Seahawks QB coach Andrew Janocko for their offensive coordinator vacancy today.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter notes that Janocko is also a candidate for the Seahawks’ offensive coordinator vacancy. Janocko and new Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak have worked together for years. Janocko served as the Vikings, Saints and Seahawks’ quarterbacks coach while Kubiak concurrently held each team’s offensive coordinator role. Schefter’s colleague, Jeremy Fowler, said last week that he believes Janocko is a “natural candidate” to be the Raiders’ offensive coordinator under Kubiak.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler believes Seahawks quarterbacks coach Andrew Janocko is a “natural candidate” to be the Raiders offensive coordinator under Klint Kubiak.
Janocko has followed Kubiak as he’s had stints in Minnesota, New Orleans, and now Seattle. Janocko could be a candidate to replace Kubiak in Seattle as well. Fowler also notes that Seahawks passing game coordinator Jake Peetz could get an in-house look as Seattle’s offensive coordinator when Kubiak leaving is officially finalized.

Seahawks hired Saints QB coach Andrew Janocko to the same position.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero was the first to report the hiring. This was to be expected. Janocko worked as Klint Kubiak’s QB coach during their time in Minnesota and New Orleans and will now follow Kubiak to Seattle as he prepares to serve as their offensive coordinator. Janocko inherits a solid veteran starter in Geno Smith but will have his work cut out for him in turning around Sam Howell, who was acquired by the team last offseason in a trade with the Commanders.

Seahawks are interviewing Saints quarterbacks coach Andrew Janocko for their open quarterbacks coach position.
Janocko was the Saints’ quarterback coach last season, working with the likes of Derek Carr, Spencer Rattler, and Jake Haener through a middling 2024 season. With the Saints still searching for a head coach, ESPN’s Katherine Terrell reports they would like to keep Janocko but are allowing more coaches to interview for lateral jobs. If he does leave for Seattle, Janocko would reunite with offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak to work with Geno Smith.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports the Saints are expected to hire Andrew Janocko as their quarterbacks coach.
Janocko spent time with Saints offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak in 2021 when the two worked with the Vikings. Janocko has worked with both Kirk Cousins and Justin Fields during his career, and has held various coaching titles since 2011.
