Steelers signed FB Billy Latsko and LS Jared Retofsky.
Latsko spent most of 2007 on Carolina’s practice squad. He is a smallish fullback. Latsko and Retofsky will be long shots for roster spots in 2008.
  • LAC Running Back
Panthers signed FB Billy Latsko, WR Titus Ryan and DE Angelo Craig to their practice squad.
Latsko is a hard-nosed blocking back out of Florida. Craig was a Bengals draft pick and is a former Cincinnati Bearcat. Ryan probably won’t last long.
  • CLE Defensive Lineman
Chargers placed DE Keith Grennan (fibula) on injured reserve, ending his season. They added FB Billy Latsko to their active roster.
Grennan was added to the roster only a week ago.
  • LAC Running Back
Chargers signed FB Billy Latsko from their practice squad.
A hard-nosed blocking back, Latsko has seen time with the Steelers and Panthers the past three seasons. He’ll help out on special teams.
  • FA Wide Receiver #19
Chargers did not extend tenders to WR Legedu Naanee, FB Billy Latsko, LS Ryan Neill, LB Darry Beckwith, and S Pat Watkins, making them unrestricted free agents.
Naanee recently was arrested for public intox and resisting, afterwards informing police he was “an NFL player” and was “going to sue your ass.” Confirms beat writer Kevin Acee, Naanee’s “time in San Diego is finished.” Naanee ended 2010 with 23 catches for 371 yards and one touchdown in 10 appearances (nine starts). His market value takes a big hit because of the arrest.
  • FA Tight End
Chargers waived TE Dedrick Epps, FB Richie Brockel, WR Richard Goodman, C/G Jeff Hansen, DE Derrick Jones, and FB Billy Latsko.
Epps was drafted in the seventh round after splitting tight end duties with Jimmy Graham at Miami last season. The Bolts with go with Randy McMichael and Kris Wilson behind Antonio Gates.
