Falcons agreed to terms with DT Chris Williams, formerly of the Bears, on a one-year, $2 million contract.
Williams posted a minor breakout season in 2024 with three sacks. His part-time role got even smaller in 2025 and he notched just one sack. He will be fighting for a roster spot in Atlanta this summer.

According to Pro Football Network’s Tony Pauline, the Jets and Eagles have shown interest in Wagner DT Chris Williams.
Williams (6'2/305), one of two Seahawks to take part in the East-West Shrine Game (LB Cam Gill), also garnered interest from the Giants with that team’s DL coach running his workout at Wagner’s Pro Day. He will likely have to go the undrafted free agent route this spring, but after a senior year in which he tallied 41 total tackles (11.5 for loss, 4.0 sacks), three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery Williams won’t lack for suitors come April.
