Rams CB Cobie Durant (toe) is questionable to play in Week 3 against the 49ers.
Durant closed the week by practicing in a limited capacity on both Thursday and Friday, giving him decent odds of suiting up. The Rams’ crumbling secondary cannot afford to lose another player.
  • LAR Cornerback #14
Rams CB Cobie Durant (toe) did not participate in Wednesday’s practice.
Durant suffered an apparent toe injury in the Rams’ Week 1 loss to the Lions, but played with a decreased workload for Week 2. He starts out the week not practicing, adding to the Rams’ injury woes. With Durant’s Week 3 also in jeopardy, the 49ers offense will have a plus matchup against a weakened Rams secondary. K Joshua Karty (groin) and TE Davis Allen (back) also did not participate, all sitting out practice with WR Cooper Kupp (ankle). The Athletic’s Jourdan Rodrigue mentions CB Ahkello Witherspoon as an elevation candidate heading into Week 3.
  • LAR Cornerback #14
The Rams declared DB Cobie Durant, OLB Nick Hampton, OL Zach Thomas, OL Warren McClendon Jr., and DE Earnest Brown IV inactive for their Week 11 game against the Seahawks.
The Rams will miss Cobie Durant but otherwise will be relatively healthy against the Seahawks. Matthew Stafford will be welcomed back as he looks to elevate a Rams’ offense that has struggled without him.
  • LAR Cornerback #14
Rams selected South Carolina State CB Decobie Durant with the No. 142 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
First Team All-MEAC, Durant (5'11"/180) had a stellar 2021, finishing with 38 tackles and three interceptions. He also posted great testing numbers, including a 4.38 40-yard dash. His size does bring his RAS Score down to 5.11, and will make it tough to defend bigger slot targets. Durant’s speed nevertheless plays well. He can stick to a receiver with his ability to match their route and has a knack for being where the ball is and contesting the catch. The smaller stature hurt his draft stock, but when Durant gets his opportunity to transition to the next level, he should adjust well.
