Colts promoted CB David Pender from their practice squad.
The Colts have done more with less, but Pender was a mostly unintriguing prospect in the 2010 draft, and ultimately wasn’t picked out of Purdue. At 6'1/180, he does add some size to Indianapolis’ cornerback depth chart.

Eagles waived RB Martell Mallett, CB David Pender, CB Geoff Pope, DT Boo Robinson, and S Anthony Scirrotto.
The exodus of former CFL stars continues. Mallett was Canada’s rookie of the year with the Montreal Alouettes in 2009, but he was never a good bet to stick as a third-down back with the Eagles. Pope saw action in an injury-depleted Philly secondary late last season.
  • CIN Defensive Back
Bengals signed CB David Pender to a reserve/future contract.
Pender considered giving up football after the Bengals claimed him off waivers from the Colts in late December, but he’s apparently ready to give the sport another try. The 23-year-old went undrafted out of Purdue last April.
  • CIN Defensive Back
    Colts waived CB David Pender.
An undrafted rookie, Pender spent the last three games on the active roster, making a couple special teams tackles in Week 15. He’ll be replaced by Mike Richardson.
  • CIN Defensive Back
Bengals claimed CB David Pender off waivers from the Colts.
Pender spent only three weeks on the Colts’ roster as a special teamer. The Bengals will kick his tires to determine if he’s worth carrying on the roster for the offseason.
  • CIN Defensive Back
Bengals CB David Pender has yet to report to the team and says he’s trying to decide whether he wants to continue playing.
An undrafted rookie, Pender might be tired of moving from team to team, as he’s spent time with the Colts, Eagles and Ravens this season. The Bengals have been granted a roster exemption for him, so they’ll have the opportunity of adding a player to the 53-man roster without going over the limit.
