Vikings signed LB DeMarquis Gates, formerly of the XFL’s Houston Roughnecks, to a one-year, $610,000 contract.
Gates was a productive player at Ole Miss but was forced to prove himself in the AAF and XFL the past two offseasons. In five games with the Roughnecks, Gates made 32 tackles and forced two turnovers. He’ll look to crack the Vikings’ roster as a special teamer this summer.
