Nugent

Nugent (6'2/298) played four years at Stanford before transferring to Ann Arbor for the 2023 season as part of the exodus from Palo Alto following David Shaw’s resignation as Stanford’s HC. To that point, he had garnered two all-conference honors as well as being voted the team captain. Landing at Michigan, Nugent occupied the center spot for the 2023 National Champions and once again earned all-conference recognition. As a prospect, he is an active player who is always looking for work, but his lack of physical gifts (69th percentile RAS) paired with a 6’1.5” frame is cause for concern. Nugent is more of a “get in the way” blocker, which shows off his deep understanding of angles and escape routes. Though he was a key player in the Wolverines’ CFP run, he was definitely not a driving force, even with the talent surrounding him.
