Browns WR Isaiah Weston (knee) was carted off the field during Saturday’s practice.
We don’t know much on Weston’s injury at this time outside of it being a knee injury, We’ll likely get more word on Monday when the team resumes practice, but the optics aren’t good. Weston signed with the Browns as a UDFA this offseason out of Northern Iowa. Boasting 4.42 speed and a college YPR of 22.6, Weston was hoping to earn a roster spot during training camp. We will report back with any additional news regarding his injury.

Browns signed Northern Iowa WR Isaiah Weston.
Weston (6'3/214) shined as a deep threat at FCS Northern Iowa, averaging 22.6 yards per reception for his career including a 43-1,053-10 receiving line in 2019 just a year removed from a torn ACL. Weston impressed at the combine with a 4.42 40, 40-inch vertical, and 11-foot-3 broad jump. He has age (24) and competition red flags, and he does not project as anything more than a field stretcher. Even so, size and athletic ability make Weston someone worth watching.
