The Steelers also released LB Kenny Willekes and LS Jake McQuaide and waived RB Evan Hull, CB Kam Alexander, S Quindell Johnson, DB Kyler McMichael, DB Mikey Victor, OG Doug Nester, OT Julian Pearl and TE Kevin Foelsch. An undrafted free agent out of Ohio State in 2011, McQuaide took over as St. Louis’ deep snapper as a rookie and held onto the job in 2012. He was previously scheduled for restricted free agency in 2014.

What you need to know about McQuaide is that he makes his living snapping snaps that are longer than normal snaps. Turns out he’s pretty good at it too as the 30-year-old has represented the Rams in each of the last two Pro Bowls.
