    Steelers released QB Logan Woodside.
The Steelers also released LB Kenny Willekes and LS Jake McQuaide and waived RB Evan Hull, CB Kam Alexander, S Quindell Johnson, DB Kyler McMichael, DB Mikey Victor, OG Doug Nester, OT Julian Pearl and TE Kevin Foelsch. The two biggest names here are Woodside and Hull. Both players will likely be offered tryouts and/or practice squad spots at some point.
  • CHI Linebacker #43
Bears signed LS Jake McQuaide to their practice squad.
It’s an admission that normal snapper of snaps that are longer than usual Scott Daly may need some time off after suffering a knee injury in London. McQuaide will kill Cole Kmet’s value in points per long snap leagues.
  • LA Long Snapper #44
Cowboys LS Jake McQuaide (triceps) is likely out for the season.
The snapper of a few snaps that happened to traverse further backwards than regular snaps this season, McQuaide will likely hit IR in the near future. The Cowboys are working out replacements today. Dallas could elevate a new snapper of the long ball variety off the practice squad for a few weeks before eventually signing one to the roster.

  • LA Long Snapper #44
Cowboys re-signed LS Jake McQuaide to a one-year contract.
The snapper of snaps longer than normal snaps, McQuaide just wrapped up his first season performing such snaps for the Cowboys after spending the first 10 years of his career snapping long snaps for the Rams.

  • LA Long Snapper #44
Cowboys signed LS Jake McQuaide, formerly of the Rams, to a one-year contract.
McQuaide, 33, reunites with STC John Fassel in Dallas after the two spent many years together with the Rams. McQuaide never missed a game with the Rams in his 10 seasons there.

  • LA Long Snapper #44
Rams signed LS Jake McQuaide to a four-year extension through 2017.
An undrafted free agent out of Ohio State in 2011, McQuaide took over as St. Louis’ deep snapper as a rookie and held onto the job in 2012. He was previously scheduled for restricted free agency in 2014.
  • LA Long Snapper #44
Rams re-signed LS Jake McQuaide to a three-year contract.
What you need to know about McQuaide is that he makes his living snapping snaps that are longer than normal snaps. Turns out he’s pretty good at it too as the 30-year-old has represented the Rams in each of the last two Pro Bowls.
