Mercer G Jason Poe is now ranked as the 209th overall prospect by PFF after a great Pro Day.
Poe (6'1"/300) wasn’t getting any buzz, so to suddenly be draftable in the later rounds is impressive. He ran a blazing 4.89 40-yard dash (would’ve been tied 2nd amongst all O-linemen at the combine) had a 31.5 vertical (5th), and had 34 reps on the bench (1st). That’s an incredible suite of results, and shows that Poe’s raw athleticism and body are definitely NFL level. A good coach can mold that into a successful player, which would be great for the FCS product.
