    Saints released OL Jesse Davis.
Davis is a seven-year league vet, but he hasn’t taken an offensive snap since 2021 despite being on active rosters each of the last two seasons. The former UDFA has made 72 starts in his career and could provide valuable depth for a roster, but his lack of playing time suggests his best days are behind him.
  • Tackle #77
NFL Insider Jordan Schultz reports the Colts will meet with free agent OT Jesse Davis.
Davis spent all of last season with the Steelers but didn’t see a snap on offense. Still, Davis is a six-year veteran of the league who has started 72 games in his career and could provide added depth to a Colts offensive line that was among the league’s worst last season.
  • Steelers acquired OL Jesse Davis from the Vikings.
Minnesota will receive a 2025 conditional seventh-rounder. Davis lost his starting job to second-round rookie Ed Ingram in Minnesota. The Steelers are desperate for help on the offensive line and Davis has both tackle and guard experience. Davis has not had a PFF blocking grade above 62.6 in five seasons in Miami as a starter, but this is a good spot for him to once again find work.

  • Vikings signed RT Jesse Davis, formerly of the Dolphins.
Minnesota also announced that they have signed CB Nate Hairston and re-signed CB Tye Smith. Davis was released by Miami last week. He has started 72 games across every position but center over the past five years. Davis struggled at right tackle in 2021, allowing eight sacks and ten QB hits across 16 starts. For now, he projects to start at right guard for the Vikings. The move back to the inside should help Davis rebound in 2022.

  • Free agent RT Jesse Davis is visiting the Vikings.
The Dolphins cleared $3.6 million last week by releasing Davis after four years with the team. He was among the worst pass blocking tackles in the NFL in 2021, according to Pro Football Focus grades, allowing ten quarterback hits and eight sacks. Hopefully for Kirk Cousins, Davis will be a rotational offensive lineman with Minnesota.

  • Dolphins released RT Jesse Davis.
The move clears over $3.6 million in cap space. A starter for Miami since 2018, Davis was released as a cap move for the Dolphins, who had the NFL’s worst pass-blocking offensive line in 2021, according to Pro Football Focus grades. Davis allowed eight sacks and 10 QB hits last year. He has experience playing all guard and tackle spots and would be better off landing somewhere as a super-sub backup.

  • Dolphins placed LT Jesse Davis on the reserve/COVID list.
Davis has started 51 consecutive games for the Dolphins over the last four seasons including all 10 this year. Although the league’s protocol makes it possible for Davis to turn around in time for kick-off Sunday, he reportedly is not expected to play. Note that Miamia has allowed just 14 sacks through the team’s first 10 games.

  • Dolphins LT Jesse Davis was forced from Sunday’s game against the Cowboys with an arm injury.
Davis went down in the first half. He was deemed “questionable” but did not return after the break. LG Michael Deiter has kicked over to the blindside. Fill-in LG Danny Isidora is also banged up.
  • Jesse Davis is the frontrunner to start at left guard for the Dolphins in Week 1.
The Dolphins had hoped Ted Larsen would win this job, but he tore his biceps and is a candidate for I.R./return. Rookie Isaac Asiata has not stepped forward. Davis is a third-year undrafted free agent out of Idaho who previously spent time with the Jets. Both of the Dolphins’ guard spots are significant concerns.
  • Jesse Davis is penciled in as the Dolphins’ starting right guard.
A fourth-year undrafted free agent, Davis made the first 16 appearances of his career last season, including 10 starts between left guard and right guard. He was a major liability. The fact that he remains in line for a starting job speaks to what a trouble spot the Dolphins’ interior line remains even after the signing of Josh Sitton.
