Former Nebraska redshirt sophomore WR Kade Warner transferred to Kansas State.
Warner (6'1/210) began his Nebraska career as a walk-on, but he eventually earned a scholarship ahead of the 2020 season. Warner, the son of Super Bowl champion QB Kurt Warner, will have up to three seasons of eligibility remaining at Kansas State.

  • Wide Receiver
Nebraska redshirt sophomore WR Kade Warner (foot) made his season debut in the second half of Saturday’s loss to Ohio State.
Warner (6'1/210) was an eight-game starter in 2018, catching 17 passes for 98 yards last fall. While Nebraska has not yet publicly divulged the injury concern which had held him down for the first few weeks of the current campaign, ESPN’s Chris Fowler passed along during Saturday’s contest that the former walk-on had been mending up from a fractured foot. He did not end up catching a pass against the Buckeyes, but will help pad out the Huskers’ depth moving forward.

Nebraska redshirt sophomore WR Kade Warner (undisclosed) will not play in Saturday’s game vs. Northern Illinois.
Nebraska HC Scott Frost said earlier in the week that Warner (6'1/210), who has yet to play in a game this season, would be back from his undisclosed injury. The redshirt sophomore’s return won’t occur Saturday night however, with Nebraska’s next game being its Sept. 21 Big Ten opener at Illinois.

Nebraska HC Scott Frost said Monday that he expects redshirt sophomore WR Kade Warner to return soon from his undisclosed injury.
Warner (6'1/210) has yet to appear in a game this season after making eight starts in 2018. The redshirt sophomore finished last season with 17 catches for 95 yards, and he was expected to be a more integral part of the Nebraska passing attack this fall. But those plans are on hold due to the injury that he’s working his way back from.

Nebraska redshirt sophomore WR Kade Warner (undisclosed) has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against South Alabama.
Warner (6'1/210) is not dressed out in pads in advance of Saturday’s season-opener. This doesn’t figure to hurt the Huskers too much, as the redshirt sophomore was not an expected starter, more a rotational cog. We’ll update his status over the coming week as information arises.

Nebraska redshirt sophomore WR Kade Warner (undisclosed) did not participate in Monday’s practice due to an unspecified health issue.
Warner (6'1/210), who made eight starts as a redshirt freshman, is one of three offensive players who did not take part in Monday’s session, with RB Wan’Dale Robinson and TE Chris Hickman being the others. As a redshirt freshman he caught 17 passes for 95 yards and stands to be one of the team’s top targets in 2019.

Per the team’s updated depth chart, he’ll be starting over Mike Williams. Kade, the son of NFL legend Kurt Warner, was a two-star recruit who walked on at Nebraska in 2017. The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder is the all-time high school receptions leader in the state of Arizona.

Uncommitted two-star 2017 WR Kade Warner is considering offers to walk on at Nebraska, UCLA, Arizona State and Iowa.
A two-star recruit mulling preferred walk-on offers isn’t particularly noteworthy under most circumstances, but in this case, the two-star recruit has a very, very famous father. Kade is the son of NFL Hall of Famer to-be Kurt Warner. Warner the Younger will be taking a visit to Nebraska this coming weekend as he continues to sort through his options. Despite making 241 catches in his high school career, he did not receive an FBS offer during the 2017 cycle.

Two-star 2017 WR Kade Warner has joined Nebraska as a preferred walk-on.
The son of NFL legend Kurt Warner, Kade has posted some eye-popping statistics in his own right. Indeed, the 6-foot-2, 205-pounder is the all-time high school receptions leader in the state of Arizona, having logged 241 catches during his career at Desert Mountain High. He also considered walking on at Arizona State before a visit to Nebraska swayed him over to the heartland.
