NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports the Cowboys requested to interview Falcons TE coach Kevin Koger for their offensive coordinator vacancy.
Kroger signed on with the Falcons last season after previously working with the Chargers during the Brandon Staley era. The Cowboys aren’t the first team to request an interview with Kroger; the Browns also spoke with him earlier this offseason before opting to hire Tommy Rees as their next offensive coordinator. If he were to be hired as the Cowboys’ OC, it would be the first head coaching job for Koger at any level.

Browns requested an interview with Falcons tight ends coach Kevin Koger for their offensive coordinator vacancy.
He will reportedly interview on Friday. Koger came into the league as a Packers offensive quality control coach in 2019-2020 and was Chargers tight ends coach under the Branden Staley regime. He picked up a job as Falcons tight ends coach this past season, so you know exactly who you can blame for this Kyle Pitts thing. Koger is, to date, one of four candidates for the Browns OC job.

The Packers interviewed Chargers TEs coach Kevin Koger for its offensive-coordinating vacancy.
As did the Broncos since Koger has ties to both after previously serving as Green Bay’s offensive quality control coach under Nathaniel Hackett for two seasons. A former tight end himself with the University of Michigan, Koger assisted in helping Robert Tonyan break out with 62 catches for 686 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2020.
