Seahawks placed DB K’Von Wallace (ankle) on injured reserve.
Wallace has been a rotational player for Seattle at safety this year, with 127 defensive snaps across nine games. He has nine tackles so far and will miss at least the next four weeks with his ankle injury.
  • SEA Linebacker #53
Seahawks LB Boye Mafe (knee) is questionable to play in Week 3 against the Dolphins.
Mafe leads Seahawks defenders in both pressures (15) and NFL sacks (2.0) so availability would go a long way toward pressuring the Dolphins Week 3 starting QB Skylar Thompson. Mafe’s Friday practice status has yet to be released but even limited participation would bode positively for his availability. Seahawks No. 3 S K’Von Wallace (shoulder) is also questionable for Week 3.
  • SEA Defensive Back #21
Seahawks CB Devon Witherspoon (hamstring) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Witherspoon has played in the Seahawks’ first two games, so a limited designation in a Wednesday practice for Week 3 is not a major concern. Just notable in case the Seahawks’ top corner indeed misses time. Safety K’Von Wallace (shoulder) missed practice, though the secondary was not nearly as depleted as the team’s front seven.
  • TEN Safety #22
Titans claimed DB K’Von Wallace off waivers from Arizona.
Wallace had started five games for the Cardinals this season, coming down with one interception before he was placed on waivers. He previously played three seasons for the Eagles after being drafted in the fourth round in 2020. He will now head to a Titans team looking for a safety to step up after trading Kevin Byard to the Eagles earlier this week.
  • ARI Safety #22
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports The Cardinals released S K’Von Wallace.
Wallace had started five games for the Cardinals this season, coming down with one interception. He previously played three seasons for the Eagles and is now a free agent heading into Week 8. A team with injuries in the secondary could add Wallace to replenish its defense nearly halfway through the season.
  • SEA Safety #24
K’Von Wallace is questionable to return to the Eagles’ Week 16 game against the Giants with a hip injury.
Wallace went to the locker room after suffering a hip injury midway through the first quarter against the Giants. He hasn’t played a defensive snap since Week 8, but it would be a minor ding to the Eagles’ special teams if he is out.

  • SEA Safety #24
Eagles S K’Von Wallace (shoulder) was placed on injured reserve.
Wallace suffered a separated shoulder in Week 3 against the Cowboys and will miss at least the next three weeks. Wallace had played the second most snaps among Philadelphia safeties this season. Marcus Epps will likely enter the starting lineup starting in Week 4 against the Chiefs.

  • FA Tight End #81
Eagles TE Jason Croom was carted off after getting injured in a preseason game against the Patriots.
Eagles S K’Von Wallace has also been ruled out after leaving with a groin injury. It was a non-contact injury for Croom, who was previously in a fierce battle for a roster spot. The Eagles are also missing TE Tyree Jackson – who’s out 8-10 weeks with a back injury – but they still have Dallas Goedert, Zach Ertz, and Richard Rodgers at the position. Croom is out for the game.

  • SEA Safety #24
Eagles second-year S K’Von Wallace is considered week to week with a groin strain.
With Rodney McLeod (knee) on the PUP list, Wallace has been running with the starters in training camp. McLeod has started doing drills on the side of practice over the past week, so he appears close to returning. With more than a month until Philadelphia’s season opener, Wallace doesn’t appear at risk of missing any action in the regular season, but it’ll be a hit to their secondary depth if this injury lingers.

  • SEA Safety #24
    Eagles signed S K’Von Wallace to a four-year contract.
Philadelphia announced his signing in a wave of them as all 10 of the team’s rookies are now officially under contract. Wallace (5’11/206) was a three-year starting strong safety at Clemson who earned third-team All-ACC honors as an older 22-year-old senior. He overcomes his small frame with an aggressive playing style, which led to 12 pass deflections and 81 tackles last season. He lined up 10 yards off the line of scrimmage and would scream downhill to make tackles and also has experience covering the slot. Last year, he only allowed 5.9 yards per target in coverage. He also has 76th percentile Adjusted SPARQ athleticism with great scores in the vertical (38 inches) and broad jump (133 inches). Arguably overshadowed by Isaiah Simmons, Wallace offers the competitiveness, instincts, and work ethic to compete for a spot in NFL sub-packages as a slot defender.
