Titans signed CB Latrell McCutchin Sr.
The former five-year college player spent the 2021 season at Oklahoma and the 2022 season at USC before transferring to Houston in 2023. McCutchin earned second-team All-Big 12 honors last year, totaling 51 tackles, three TFLs, one sack, one forced fumble and 10 passes defended. He has zero career interceptions. McCutchin, 23, stands 6’2/191 and tested very well at the NFL Scouting Combine. The Titans added a ton of defensive back help this offseason, perhaps enough to keep McCutchin from making the team. He’ll need a strong camp.
  • Oklahoma received a verbal commitment from four-star 2021 CB Latrell McCutchin.
McCutchin was at one point a verbal commitment to Alabama. In fact, at one point, he was the only commitment to Alabama, as he was the first to verbal from the 2021 class to the Crimson Tide. The defensive back broke that pledge a while ago, and he joins what is looking to be an absolutely loaded Sooners’ class. The folks at 247Sports rank him 11th among all corners in the class in their composite rankings, and 21st among all prospects in the state of Texas (LBJ High School, Dallas). The Sooners also received a verbal from five-star QB Caleb Williams, and with those two pledges, they now have seven four-star or better commits for their class. Expect that number to grow in the coming months.

  • Alabama received a verbal commitment from four-star 2021 CB Latrell McCutchin.
McCutchin makes an early commitment to the Crimson Tide, and assuming he sticks with it, it’s a big get for the Alabama recruiting class. In 247Sports’ composite rankings, he ranks eighth among all corners, and 21st among prospects coming out of the state of Texas. He also had offers from schools like Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas and several other Power Five schools. He’s the first prospect to commit to Alabama for the 2021 class.
