Some are suggesting Coles should take a game off to mend while the team goes with a healthier receiver. His routes aren’t crisp because of his toe, and he is susceptible to dropped balls with his finger problem, but Coles doesn’t want to come out of the lineup.

Coles is headed for another 80 catch season, but injuries and the Washington passing attack have held him down this season. His toe, hand, and now hip are all injured.

Coles is listed as probable , but hasn’t been 100% all season. That said, he’ll start on Sunday. He’s a decent WR3 play.

Coles wants to avoid surgery. We just want the two-year problems to go away.

He is making life very difficult for the Redskins because he believes they agreed to release him. His injured foot complicates matters, so Coles may not go anywhere for a while.

It will take cooperation from Coles, who would forfeit a $5 million bonus to go to the team of his choice. The move is nearly unprecedented, but Coles apparently wants out badly. 90 balls just wasn’t enough.

The Jets would have to be willing to give Coles a contract extension. Both sides seem to be playing poker here, but it should be settled by the end of the week.

The Jets have already had preliminary talks about Coles, but no trade will happen will happen without Coles’ help. Coles believes the Redskins agreed to release him, and that’s what he wants. The next move is Washington’s. They don’t have to release him and may try to change his mind. Coles’ toe injury, which he has refused to have surgery on for two straight years, is also a factor.

A deal is still possible, but Coles is not the type of player to hold out if he’s unhappy. While a move may help his fantasy prospects, we expect Coles to enjoy a rebound season wherever he plays.

The Redskins have tried to stop him from practicing with the team, but Coles continues to practice in pain. The team hopes that the six weeks of rest he’ll have before training camp is sufficient enough to heal the foot. It’s a situation to monitor, but still like Coles as a No. 1 receiver who’ll provide value after the first four rounds.
