Redskins released P Sam Paulescu and signed Lendy Holmes from their practice squad.

Hunter Smith (groin) is apparently good to go. Paulescu punted three times with a 50-yard average in the Redskins’ Week 9 loss to the Falcons. Holmes gives the Skins some depth with Chris Horton (toe) out for the season.

Offseason coaching turnover in Washington really hurt Holmes’ chances, and the addition of Tyrone Carter sealed it up. Holmes did make it to the active roster down the stretch last year, generating six tackles on special teams.
