    Raiders released WR Marquez Callaway.
Callaway ended the 2024 season on the Buccaneers’ roster, and has briefly spent time on both the 49ers’ and Raiders’ rosters this month. The Raiders also released WRs Phillip Dorsett and Colin Johnson, plus LB Jaylon Smith.
  • LV Wide Receiver #3
    Raiders signed WR Marquez Callaway.
Cut after the draft by the Buccaneers and by the 49ers in training camp, Callaway continues his quest to be rostered for the 2025 season. He has five targets and no catches since 2022.
  • SF Wide Receiver
49ers signed WR Robbie Chosen, formerly of the Dolphins, to a contract.
The 49ers chose him because of their positional availability concerns. Brandon Aiyuk (knee), Jauan Jennings (calf) and Jacob Cowing (hamstring) are all on the mend. Chosen caught 1-of-4 targets for five yards with the Dolphins last season. He is not fantasy-relevant in 2025. The team released WR Marquez Callaway in a corresponding move.
  • FA Wide Receiver #85
    Buccaneers released WR Marquez Callaway.
Still only 27, Callaway will look to catch on with another team for training camp. We hear Sean Payton is a head coach again. Callaway hasn’t caught a ball in an NFL game since 2022.
  • Wide Receiver #82
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports free agent WR Marquez Callaway plans to sign with the Buccaneers.
Callaway last played for the Saints in 2023, though he saw no touches and just 28 snaps in three games. The former undrafted rookie free agent had his best season in 2021, catching 46 passes for 698 yards and six touchdowns as a Saint. Callaway returns to the NFC South to provide receiver depth for the Bucs’ practice squad.
  • FA Wide Receiver #15
Broncos signed WR Marquez Callaway, formerly of the Saints, to a one-year contract.
Callaway reunites with head coach Sean Payton after spending two seasons with him in New Orleans. An undrafted rookie free agent from the 2020 class, Callaway emerged to go for 46-698-6 in his second season with the Saints. At this time, He currently finds himself in a deep receiver room that included Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy, Tim Patrick, and K.J. Hamler. However, if any rumored trades of Sutton or Jeudy come to fruition, there’s a chance Callaway could see a slight boost in playing time. He has no real fantasy value at this time.

  • FA Wide Receiver #15
The Saints did not tender restricted free agent Marquez Callaway, making him a free agent.
The target of a ton of target volume buzz in 2021, Callaway fell to just a 16/158/1 line in 2022 as he was mostly phased out of the offense. In the four games in which he saw at least five targets, he only went over 36 yards once. Callaway could be an interesting reclamation project elsewhere, but it’s hard to believe he’s more than a deep stash in larger leagues at this point.

  • FA Wide Receiver #15
Marquez Callaway is inactive for Week 12 against the 49ers.
This one is a bit of a surprise, as Callaway is listed with the first team receivers on the team’s official depth chart. Callaway has seen his snaps dialed back significantly over the last three weeks and was never on the radar as a fantasy option.

  • FA Wide Receiver #15
Marquez Callaway caught 2-of-6 targets for 20 yards in the Saints’ Week 7 loss to the Cardinals.
One of Callaway’s missed connections was a horrible bobble that led to one of Andy Dalton’s two pick-sixes. Not ideal. Callaway ended up getting out-targeted by Tre’Quan Smith behind Chris Olave and watched role players Kevin White and Rashid Shaheed contribute the big plays DFS players were hoping would come from Callaway. Even if Michael Thomas (foot) and Jarvis Landry (ankle) remain sidelined for Week 8, Callaway will not be a recommended WR4 against the Raiders.

  • FA Wide Receiver #15
Marquez Callaway caught 3-of-7 targets for 36 yards in New Orleans’ Week 6 loss to Cincinnati.
And back to nowhere he returned. Callaway led the team’s wideouts in targets with their top three targets sidelined, but didn’t do much beyond some gritty slant catches. If Chris Olave is cleared ahead of next week, Callaway will be a showdown slate-only option as the Saints take on the Cardinals on Thursday night. If Olave remains out, Callaway might merit a low-end FLEX spot.
