Broncos restructured OT Matt Peart’s contract.
Peart suffered a season-ending MCL tear in Week 6 last year. The restructure keeps him in Denver for 2026 via a $1.5 million pay cut. Peart gets $755,000 in financial guarantees and the Broncos free up $1.58 million in salary cap space. Peart will likely operate as a backup.

Broncos placed G Matt Peart (knee) on injured reserve.
Peart filled in for Ben Powers, who went on injured reserve last week, against the Jets in London. Denver will need to go back to the bench for Week 7’s game against the Giants. Peart will miss at least the next four weeks.

Broncos re-signed OT Matt Peart to a two-year, $7 million contract.
Peart signed a one-year deal in Denver last offseason after spending his rookie contract with the Giants. He joined the Broncos with seven career starts to his name and was credited with two more during his first year in Denver. Peart is a reliable swing tackle who can start in a pinch and picks up plenty of reps as a sixth lineman.

Garrett Bolles (ankle) is questionable to return Sunday against the Seahawks.
Bolles left in the early portion of the fourth quarter with the ankle injury. The 32-year-old will likely miss the rest of Sunday’s contest against Seattle, and Matt Peart will handle protecting Bo Nix’s blindside while he’s out.

Broncos signed OT Matt Peart, formerly of the Giants, to a one-year contract.
The former third-round pick has seven career starts across 43 appearances. Though primarily a backup during his time in New York, Peart has experience at both left and right tackle. He earned a single start, this time at right tackle, in the 2023 season. Peart will be a depth option for the Broncos.
  • NYG Running Back #20
Giants RB Eric Gray was placed on injured reserve after suffering a calf injury in Week 7.
The rookie Gray was primarily used as a returner, getting 14 offensive touches this season, 13 coming in Week 5. He now heads to injured reserve along with OT Matt Peart. RB Jashaun Corbin was signed from the Panthers’ practice squad and RB Deon Jackson was claimed off waivers from the Browns to add depth to the Giants’ backfield.

Giants placed WR Sterling Shepard (Achilles), OL Nick Gates (leg), and OL Matt Peart (ACL) on the active/PUP list.
Shepard had resumed jogging in early June, but isn’t quite ready to go as we open training camp. There’s still a possibility he’ll practice in the near future, and players can come off PUP/active without having to miss game time in training camp. Gates’ injury was described as career-threatening and Peart’s ACL tear happened in Week 16. Both linemen are unlikely to participate in training camp.

Giants placed OT Matt Peart on injured reserve with a torn ACL, ending his season.
The Giants’ swing tackle, second-year pro Peart had been pressed into heavy duty this season, playing 421 snaps between the right and left sides. He had been filling in for RT Nate Solder (COVID-19) when he was injured on Sunday. The No. 99 overall pick of last year’s draft, Peart will be old for a third-year pro in 2022, turning 25 in June. His experience and solid-ish play should still keep him in line for a 53-man roster spot, provided his rehab goes smoothly.

T Matt Peart will not return to the Giants’ Week 16 game against the Eagles with a knee injury.
Peart’s knee looked like it just gave out while blocking in the first quarter, and he has been diagnosed with a left knee sprain. Korey Cunningham has replaced him at right tackle in the meantime.

NJ.com reports the Giants’ offensive line has “had a rough camp overall.”
Per beat writer Zack Rosenblatt, “Thursday might’ve been one of their worst days.” Rosenblatt believes the “time to sound the alarm for the Giants offensive line has already came and went.” Rosenblatt singled out RT Matt Peart as someone who got absolutely dominated by the Patriots in joint practices. Neither Peart nor LT Andrew Thomas covered themselves in glory last season, and the G-Men did little to address what was one of the league’s very worst lines. It is something to remember when drafting Saquon Barkley or superflexing Daniel Jones.
