Giants signed C Matt Skura to the practice squad.
Skura was recently released from Miami after losing out as the team’s center to Ted Karras and Michael Deiter. He was previously unable to carry his weight in Baltimore following a major knee surgery. The Giants still need a tremendous amount of help in that unit.

  • Dolphins released C Matt Skura.
Skura, who was signed away from the Ravens in free agency, was a liability for Baltimore in 2020 as he returned from a major knee injury. Skura didn’t show well enough in the battle to replace Ted Karras, losing out to Michael Deiter.

  • Dolphins signed C Matt Skura, formerly of the Ravens, to a one-year contract.
Skura had some wonky snaps in 2020 while coming off a torn ACL, MCL, and LCL but provides a band-aid fix for the Dolphins, who were looking to find their Ted Karras replacement. Miami’s offensive line was a stone cold disaster last year particularly in run-blocking, and Skura has experience in a run-first offense. He’ll look to upgrade the Dolphins’ No. 25 rushing EPA offense.

  • Ravens C Matt Skura (knee, active/PUP) has been cleared to practice.
Skura will be on the field for Baltimore’s first padded practice. It’s an amazing turnaround — Skura is just nine months removed from a torn ACL and dislocated knee cap. Skura ranked as a top-15 center at PFF before going down in Week 12. The Ravens are likely to move him slowly.

  • Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Matt Skura (knee, active/PUP) is close to returning to practice.
Skura is ahead of schedule in his recovery — Baltimore placed him on the PUP list as a precautionary move. Barring setbacks, he should be cleared in the next couple weeks. The Ravens have Skura playing on a one-year, $2.1M RFA tender after no teams were willing to take a chance on him this offseason. He’s expected to be ready for Week 1.

  • Ravens placed C Matt Skura (knee) on the active/PUP list.
Skura is able to be removed from the list once healthy and previous reports were optimistic that he’d be ready for Week 1. He suffered an ACL tear and dislocated knee cap late in the 2019 season. Skura was ranked as a top-15 center by Pro Football Focus prior to his injury. The Ravens ground game would greatly benefit from him getting healthy by Week 1.

  • Ravens coach John Harbaugh said he’s “optimistic” about Matt Skura’s (knee) availability for Week 1.
Skura is ahead of schedule in his recovery from a torn ACL and dislocated kneecap. He went down in November last year, making him nine months removed from surgery. A healthy Skura would upgrade an already stacked Ravens’ offensive line. Skura graded as a top-15 center at ProFootballFocus before landing on IR.

  • Ravens coach John Harbaugh said C Matt Skura’s recovery has been “remarkable”.
Harbaugh believes his starting center is ahead of schedule. Skura, however, still faces an uphill battle returning from not only a torn ACL but also a dislocated kneecap. Because of that, the Ravens were able to sneak Skura onto their 2020 roster on a one-year, $2.14 million contract. If healthy, Skura is way more valuable than that, especially in this Lamar Jackson-led rushing attack.

  • Ravens re-signed C Matt Skura to a one-year, $2.14 million contract.
It’s a great deal for the Ravens, who signed Skura at the original-round RFA tender. Skura is working his way back from a torn ACL and dislocated kneecap. He’s a candidate to open the season on the reserve/PUP list.

  • Ravens extended an original-round tender to restricted free agent C Matt Skura.
It’s worth $2.144 million and would entitle the Ravens to no draft pick compensation if they declined to match an offer sheet. This one was raising eyebrows on Twitter, but 27-year-old Skura is returing from a torn ACL, MCL, PCL and dislocated kneecap. He will be a strong candidate to open 2020 on the reserve/PUP list after a strong 2019 manning the pivot.
