Howard, 24, had two sacks for the Colts in 2008, but was out of football last year. He is a ‘tweener end/linebacker and will try to make the Titans as a situational rusher. Moore was San Francisco’s fourth-round pick in 2006.

Titans waived WR Dominique Edison, WR Paul Williams, DT Joe Joseph, OG Nick Howell, and OT Nevin McCaskill.

It looks like the Titans will keep six receivers this year, with rookie Marc Mariani taking the final spot. Edison is a good bet for the practice squad, but it’s time to give up the ghost on 2007 third-rounder Williams.

They also signed former Northern Illinois S Tracy Wilson, who was not picked in Monday’s supplemental draft. McCaskill is a practice squad-caliber player, but the Jets are desperate for depth and versatility on the O-Line.
