BENGALS PUT MORE ON IR

With the Cincinnati Bengals trying to avoid their first one-win season in franchise history, they’ll have to do it without two more regular members of their defensive line. The team announced on Monday that defensive end Robert Geathers and defensive end Frostee Rucker have been placed on injured reserve. Both were injured during Thursday night’s game against the Steelers. Geathers, who suffered a knee injury, started all eleven games this year. Rucker played in every game and started four of them; he has a hamstring injury. They’ve been replaced on the roster by free-agent guard Evan Mathis and free-agent defensive end Josh Mallard. The Bengals also added to the practice squad defensive end Victor DeGrate, best known as the guy whose luggage Tatum Bell claimed he was taking from the Lions facility when he actually was bogarting Rudi Johnson’s bags.
