Bo Scaife To Sign His Tender

After the Seahawks drafted linebacker Aaron Curry and then stripped the franchise tag from linebacker Leroy Hill, we generally advised Rams safety Oshiomogho Atogwe, Bengals kicker Shayne Graham, and Titans tight end Bo Scaife to keep an eye on day two of the draft -- and to be ready to sign their respective tender offers if their respective teams pick a guy who plays their respective positions. After the Titans traded up in round three to get South Carolina tight end Jared Cook, the message to Scaife was clear: Sign the tender, now. Reportedly, he will. According to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean, Scaife has reported for the team’s offseason program, and he plans to sign the tender today. We think “right freaking now” is even better than “today.” Until the tender is signed, the thing can be revoked. Once Scaife signs it, he’ll be guaranteed a base salary of $4.46 million in 2009.
