The Saints lost to the Titans in overtime on Sunday afternoon and cornerback Brandon Browner lost his cool in the locker room after the game.

According to multiple reports from reporters in the Saints locker room, Browner needed to be restrained by teammates and members of the team’s PR staff after blowing up at a reporter asking a question of safety Jairus Byrd. Katherine Terrell of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that Browner was “screaming about how the game went to overtime and they wanted to ask about one play.”

It’s not clear which play Browner was referring to. He was flagged for a league-high 16th accepted penalty during the contest, although it came on a drive that ended with the Titans missing a field goal and didn’t have anything to do with Byrd.

Browner signed a three-year deal with the Saints this offseason, but his penalties and the team’s overall defensive struggles make it far from impossible that he’d fail to see the final two years of the contract.
