It was a costly DUI arrest for Matt McCoy. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that they have released McCoy, the linebacker who was arrested this morning on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence. McCoy is the latest NFL player to learn a hard lesson: If you’re a good player, you can get away with a certain level of off-field trouble. But if you’re just a marginal player, as McCoy was, you’d better keep your nose clean. The Bucs also announced that they have promoted wide receiver Brian Clark from the practice squad to the active roster.
