Sunday marks the Bears’ sixth road game of the year. And when quarterback Jay Cutler threw an interception in the end zone during the second quarter of a game the Vikings currently lead, 17-7, the franchise quarterback coughed up his 16th interception of the year during away games.
The pick by Cedric Griffin of an underthrown ball preserved the 10-point lead, and gave Cutler 19 total interceptions for the year.
Given the manner in which Vikings defensive end Jared Allen has been chasing Cutler around throughout the first half of the game, Cutler probably is good for one or two more.
UPDATE: And just as we posted this one, the aforementioned Jared Allen registered the aforementioned second interception.
