The Packers turned it over first, but the Seahawks have quickly taken the lead in giveaways at the NFC Championship game.
After the Seahawks held the Packers to a field goal to open the scoring in the game, Doug Baldwin fumbled the kickoff right back to the visiting team to set them up deep in Seattle territory for the second time in the game.
Morgan Burnett recovered the ball on the 23-yard-line and the Packers again moved it close to the Seattle end zone, but they again settled for a field goal after Randall Cobb was stopped on the 1 on third down. Mason Crosby hit his second field goal to put the Packers up 6-0.
When you include Richard Sherman’s interception in the end zone, that’s three fat scoring chances that have come Green Bay’s way and they don’t have too much to show for them. We’ll see if that comes back to haunt them over the remaining 50 minutes of action.
