HOPEFULLY, SARGENT WILL GET ANOTHER CHANCE

In the aftermath of Sunday’s off-air blunder and Monday’s Internet firestorm that raged because of it, we’re hoping that FOX’s Danyelle Sargent gets another chance to ply her craft. We’ve heard from multiple industry folk who think very highly of her skills and abilities, and the reality is that everyone makes mistakes from time to time, in every line of work. In Sargent’s case, her error was never supposed to be seen. But WNBC reportedly snagged the video from a live feed and aired it on Mike Francesca’s Sunday night show. We’d like to say that we never would have put the clip on our site if we’d known from the outset that the blunder wasn’t broadcast, but we’re not sure that we could have exercised such restraint. Regardless, the error shouldn’t derail her television career.
