Seahawks tackle Breno Giacomini won a Super Bowl ring at MetLife Stadium. He’ll now earn his living there.
The Jets have announced that Giacomini has agreed to terms. The right tackle immediately replaces Austin Howard, who left the Jets on Tuesday for the Raiders.
A six-year veteran, Giacomini missed seven regular-season games in 2013 due to injury. He started all postseason games, including Super Bowl XLVIII.
It’s the fourth key contributor cut or lost by the Seahawks in two days. Defensive tackle Clinton McDonald has signed with the Bucs, receiver Golden Tate has joined the Lions, and defensive end Chris Clemons has been cut.
