As the Cardinals prepare for another run at a Super Bowl appearance and win, the member of the franchise most deserving of getting his fingerprints on the Lombardi Trophy currently is dealing with a knee injury.

Receiver Larry Fitzgerald has a minor MCL issue, coach Bruce Arians told reporters after Friday’s preseason game against the Chargers. Fitzgerald played in the Week One preseason game against the Raiders.

It’s not serious, and Fitzgerald has 22 days until the regular-season opener against the Patriots. So he should be good to go come Week One.

Last year, with his role supposedly changing, Fitzgerald had a career-high 109 receptions. He’s currently 11th all time with 1,018.
