The Patriots are winning in a lot of ways lately, and they fact they have so many guys excelling on special teams is one of them.

Punter Ryan Allen was named AFC special teams player of the week for his performance in last week’s win over the Chargers.

He’s the third Patriot to win the award this year, along with defensive lineman Chris Jones (who blocked field goal against the Jets) and wide receiver Julian Edelman (for his 84-yard punt return for touchdown against the Broncos).

Allen punted five times against the Chargers, with four of them downed inside the 13-yard line.
