Jets and their assistant GM Rex Hogan have mutually agreed to part ways, according to The Athletic.
Hogan had just finished his fifth season as the Jets’ assistant general manager. He had previously served as the team’s senior director of college scouting in 2015-16 and then went to Indianapolis to be the Colts’ vice president of player personnel. With the Jets, he was allegedly a significant part of the Jets’ decision-making process and worked closely with general manager Joe Douglas, including being a primary attendee at the Senior Bowl every year. Considering how well the Jets have drafted in recent seasons, it will be interesting to see how they fill Hogan’s shoes.
