Mercy. The Demon Deacons have been hit with such injury attrition on defense that HC Dave Clawson is no longer going to hold a traditional spring game. Instead, the team will run a simplified scrimmage, one which won’t churn through quite so many warm bodies. Most of the walking wounded should be able to heal up without issue over the summer, but for the time being, safety and linebacker are thin thin thin positions.
